Mark Hennelly

Mark Hennelly
Mark has been fulfilling this role since September 1993 and has seen significant changes during this time. He is a true blue Brothers person having been a senior player for 12 years and then filling the roles of Secretary and President of the Football Club. Mark’s commitment was recently recognised when Life membership of Brothers Football Club was bestowed. In 2006 he was also the proud recipient of the Ipswich Commerce Awards “Business Person of The Year Award”.

During the past 16 years Mark has seen the club grow from a meager 300 members and 6 staff to the current 20,000+ members and 101 staff. The Club has grown exponentially physically during this period as well with over $20 million dollars of building works either completed or under way under Mark’s leadership.

Mark took up this role after 19 years in Queensland Rail gaining experience in purchasing, administration, train control and many other areas.

He is community focused serving as a Director of Clubs Queensland for 12 years, inaugural President Liquor Industry Action Group Ipswich, member of organising committee Safer Venues Program, Director St Edmunds Foundation, Life member Confraternity of Brothers Clubs of Queensland.

Operations Manager
Tim Wright

Tim Wright
Tim was born and educated in Ipswich attending Ipswich Boys Grammar School before commencing a Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management. Whilst studying was offered the position of Assistant Manager at Ipswich Golf Club combining Queensland representative duties for Golf with full-time work.

Remained at Ipswich Golf Club for 10 years prior to accepting the role as Human Resource Manager at Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich in April 1998. Progressed from HRM to HRM/Gaming Manager to current role of Operations Manager in January 2004.

He completed an Advanced Diploma in Club Management through the Fosters Leadership Academy which will lead to the accreditation for ACCM (Active Certified Club Manager). Married to Kim with 3 children.


Marketing & Events Manager
Katie Laws

Katie Laws
Katie’s background into marketing and events started while attending university at James Cook in Townsville, studying a Bachelor of Administration majoring in Tourism/Marketing. She has previously worked with the Queensland Clubs Industry Association, Clubs Queensland, as Event and Conference Coordinator. Prior to this she was employed with the Travelodge in Townsville as Functions Coordinator where her primary focus was to manage the weddings portfolio. Katie has also worked in a number other roles which have had an events focus including working with the Queensland Museum as a Visitor Services Officer and Kids Birthday Party Coordinator.

Brett Mackay

Brett Mackay
Brett has been in the hospitality sector for 21 years. Brett is locally grown, working his way up from Waiter to General Manager. Most people would know Brett from Tavern on the Mall – Easy Street Night Club, Wintergarden Tavern
(Brisbane), and the Star Tavern – Planet Night Club. Brett has been with Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich for a period of 4 years in the role of Human Resource Manager.

Junior Development Officer
Kevin Stoddart

Kevin Stoddart
Kevie, as he is effectually known, has had a 26 year association with Brothers as both a passionate player and supporter. He decided to leave his Forest Industry Training and Education Training Assessor’s role to become a full time employee with an organization that he is extremely passionate about. Kevie has also previously worked with ‘at risk kids’ offering alternative studies and programs to students that have trouble with main stream education which is something he really enjoyed. He has also spent a great deal of time coaching Rugby League for ISHS (Ipswich High School). Kevie says, “there is nothing more satisfying then seeing a player’s face when they finally master a skill, move or play they have been practicing.”


Bar Manager
Mark Halls

Mark Halls
Mark has been in the hospitality for the last 21 years starting off as a bottle shop attendant at the Prince Alfred. This started as a second job whilst employed with Telecom as a line serviceman and soon became fulltime and then progressed into different management roles. Mark started at the Club as a Duty Manager in 1996 and then took on the role of Bar Manager one year later and has filled that roll ever since. Mark looks after all the purchasing and selling of all alcohol from bottle shop specials to corporate and private functions as well as the over seeing of the stock control system. Mark has completed a certificate 4 in business and his Diploma in Hospitality Management.


Kate Riggall
Finance Manager

Kate Riggall

Kate has been in the hospitality industry for 14 years beginning with the role of administration assistant for the McGuire Group of Hotels before progressing to administration officer for ALH Group of Hotels in Noosa and throughout Brisbane.

Kate began her employment with McArthur’s HQ, the first of the Talbot Group of Hotels in 1999. Over her 4 year employment period with the Talbot Group of Hotels, Kate was educated in all aspects of Hotel accounting.

Kate packed her belongings and moved to London in March 2003. Luxury Hotel Partners, a management company of luxury boutique hotels throughout the UK and Europe, employed Kate as financial controller for her entire 4 year stay in the UK.

On returning to Brisbane, Kate accepted the role as Financial Manager for Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich and moved to the Ipswich region.

Christine Voll
Executive Chef

Chrissy Voll
Chrissy has been employed at Brothers for the past 15 years. Starting off in the position of Wait Staff to progress to the Clubs Executive Chef. To do this, Chrissy put herself through Tafe to experience the life of a 'CHEF'. In doing so, Chrissy was offered the position of Sous Chef, and then as the Executive Chef in 2008.

Chrissy takes pride in her workmanship, this is clearly seen in presentation and direction of front of house and back of house staff. Gaining the respect of fellow team players is one of Chrissy's main desires to ensure friendly and competent staff to serve Brothers customers.

A true 'Ipswichian', Chrissy has lived ALL her life in this region, marrying a local boy. Chrissy looks forward to future development of this premier club and her role thereafter.
