Brothers Junior Rugby League has 30 teams competing in the Ipswich Rugby League Competition this year comprising of 480 players. Brothers Rugby league Club is a proud and successful club. From the senior grades down to under 6’s the club is filled with a rich tradition that is the envy of all other clubs.

Brothers South West team was announced on Saturday to Travel to Rockhampton in Mid September. This team is made up from Brothers Ipswich, Toowoomba & Mustang Brothers. Brothers South West will Select 18 players for this carnival & the team will be coached by Brothers Ipswich Coaching Director Kev Stoddart. The 18 man squad is

A big thanks to all the boys that trained with the south west team in 2010, it was a hard task picking 18 players from a squad of 65. good luck to all teams and players competing in finals games. There will be more training sessions as we work towards the 3rd of October as we prepare to play the Gold Coast Titans development squads. These 2 trials are for the South West U16's & U18's.




Brothers Academy Help Hear & Say
Brothers Academy 2010 finished the final home round of fixtures with a bang by helping the Hear & Say centre raise much needed funds. It was promoted as silence on the sidelines and the boys took around Chuppa- Chups to sell and raise money. The Academy lead by lead salesman George Tevita, sold over 400 lollipops, including one very hard sale, which required George to do push ups on the ground!

Completed Coaching applications for the 2011 season can be posted to Po Box 680 Ipswich 4305 or handed to Kev Stoddart or Lane Bird, complete with, Coaching Folio number, blue card, league safe & FAO numbers (if applicable)

Please ensure that if your are applying for any Coaching, Asssitant Coaching or Management positions for the 2010/2011 season that your will require a Blue Card.

Brothers Development
Brothers Leagues Club Schools Clinic’s
Since December 1997 Brothers Leagues Club has been able provide 3 local schools with Rugby League and keeping active clinics, with Mick “Bucket” Wilson being employed as a full time coaching director and Development officer, Mick was able to deliver these clinics through Brothers Leagues Club support of the local community, in 2006 Kev Stoddart took over from Bucket and continued to deliver these clinics and grow to 4 Schools, With the addition of a second development officer in Lane Bird, Brothers has been able to increase the number of schools, classes and clinics each week. Currently Brothers Development Team now attends 5 local school 5 days a week, (Raceview State School, Silkstone State School, East Ipswich State School, Sacred Heart Primary School & St Mary’s Primary School). Brothers are also provided with 2 school students on a Tuesday & Thursday, Sam Johnson (St Edmunds College) & Michael Keys (St Peter Clavier). Together Brothers provides these clinics on a weekly basis, over 30hours of contact class time, and over 400 students on a weekly basis. Together with the QRL, ARLD, Gold Coast Titans, Brisbane Broncos, QLD Cricket, Brothers development has been involved in Gala days, development plans and coaching clinics throughout Ipswich & Brisbane.
